Jeff Whitty is the author of The Old Head Over Heels, the legal production of which occurred in Ashland, Oregon in 2015. He has since been adapted. Other theater includes the prior Ibsen sequel The Further Adventures of Hedda Gabler, performed on OSF’s Angus Bowmer Stage at the Festival in 1998. As for plays: Suicide WeatherThe Plank Project and Balls. As for musicals: Avenue Q (Tony winner for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score), Tales of the City and Bring It On. He co-penned the film Can You Ever Forgive Me? now “in the can” starring Melissa McCarthy. And via humankind’s screens and apps Mr. Whitty expects to bestow “Bad Fairy”, the gay show for straight people about a middle-aged drug-dealing gay prostitute who lives in New Orleans.
