Dipika Guha was born in Calcuta and raised in India, Russia and the UK. She is a Hodder Fellow at the Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton (‘17-‘18) & was the inaugural recipient of the Shakespeare’s Sister Fellowship. Her plays include Yoga Play (South Coast Rep), Mechanics of Love (Crowded Fire), The Rules (SF Playhouse) and The Art of Gaman (Berkeley Rep Ground Floor, Relentless Award Semi-Finalist). Her work has been developed by Playwrights Horizons, Theatreworks, the Magic Theatre, Roundabout Underground, the Atlantic Theatre Company and New Georges amongst others. She currently holds commissions from Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Manhattan Theatre Club/Sloan, McCarter Theatre’s Princeton and Slavery Project, Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, Barrington Stage Company, ACT-Z Space with Jeremy Cohen and New Conservatory Theatre Center. Dipika is a resident artist at the Playwrights Foundation and recently completed a year as an artist in residence at Yale Law School.
